What the VertexKhata app collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
VertexKhata is a billing, invoicing and expense-tracking app built by VertexIQ Solutions for small and medium businesses. This policy covers the VertexKhata mobile app specifically — for our corporate website's privacy practices, see our general privacy policy.
Information we collect
Account information
- Your mobile number, used to sign in (via a one-time password) and to identify your business account
- Your business/company name
Business data you enter
Everything you record in the app to run your business — invoices and their line items, customer details (name, phone, email, address, GSTIN where provided), products/inventory, expenses, and any sub-company tags you set up. This data belongs to your business; we store and process it only to provide the app's functionality to you.
Device permissions
- Camera — used only when you scan a barcode/QR code to look up a product; no photos or video are captured or stored
- Bluetooth (and, on older Android versions, location) — used only to discover and connect to your own Bluetooth thermal receipt printer; not used to track your location
- Internet — required to sync your business data with your account's server
Payment information
License renewal payments are processed by Razorpay. Card, UPI and bank details are entered directly into Razorpay's own secure checkout — VertexKhata and VertexIQ Solutions never see or store your payment credentials.
How we use your information
- To provide the app's core billing, invoicing and expense-tracking functionality
- To sign you in and keep your business's data synced across your devices
- To process license renewal payments (via Razorpay)
- To provide support if you contact us about the app
Information sharing and disclosure
Each business's data is isolated and only accessible to that business's own signed-in users — it is never shared with other businesses using the app. We do not sell your information.
We never sell your data
The only third party your data is ever shared with is Razorpay, and only the minimum needed to process a payment you initiate.
Data storage and security
Encryption in transit
Data sent between the app and our server is transmitted over HTTPS.
Secure storage
Your business data is stored on a server we operate, with access limited to your own business's signed-in users.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your business's data by contacting us using the details below.
Right to access
You can request a copy of the data held for your business account.
Right to rectification
You can correct most of your data directly in the app at any time.
Right to erasure
You can ask us to delete your business account and its data, subject to any records we're legally required to retain.
Children's privacy
VertexKhata is a business tool and is not directed at, or intended for use by, children.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page along with an updated revision date.
